It is Friday August 21st and we have a lot of work to do. We have $10,766.54 in debt. $1,842.61 of that is on our only credit card and $8,923.93 is on my husbands truck that he is in love with and will never sell. Not to mention we only have $126.14 in our savings account.
We are going to be using the Dave Ramsey plan and so we need a baby emergency fund of $1000 first before we pay off debt. Also, we are not allowed to use the credit card anymore. NEVER AGAIN!!! SCARY!!!
If all goes to plan we should have $700 a month after expenses to go toward debt. Of course that could change if things come up but that is the number I am shooting for.
My plan is to post about our eating habits and what we eat as we go along. Twice a month I will give an update on how much we spent on food and how much we paid off in debt. I know we can do it but boy is it going to be tough!
